- Doonesbury said it better: for 12 years my country has acted like late Imperial Rome. So we are near terminal on the environment, foreign relations and the economy. Obama, and hopefully 60-67 Senators, are the medic. Note, in the strip,  all the plumes are gone and the helmet is battered.
